Studio Environment
A Place to Grow
At Music with Ms. Camp, everyone is a musician. Whether you are just beginning or have been making music for years, you are on a musical journey of discovery, growth, creativity, and learning.
Our studio is an environment where musicians are challenged, supported, encouraged, and celebrated. We value dedication and grit while keeping the joy of making music at the heart of everything we do. Our mission extends beyond musical skill—we want to help develop confident, creative individuals who are willing to try, learn, persevere, and flourish.
Expectations of Musicians:
Come prepared. Please bring all books, music, notebooks, and other materials needed for your class. Having your materials ready allows us to make the most of our time together.
Practice! Regular practice between lessons is an important part of learning an instrument or developing musical skills. Students who practice consistently will get more out of their lessons and classes.
Dress comfortably. Wear clothing that allows you to move freely, especially for classes that include movement, dance, or other physical activities.
Bring a water bottle. Singing, moving, and playing music are active pursuits! Staying hydrated helps you feel and perform your best.
Be considerate of others. If another lesson or class is in progress, please enter and leave quietly. We want every student to have a focused and uninterrupted learning experience.
Two more things...
A furry friend lives here! Our family dog lives in the home where lessons and classes take place. While we do our best to keep the dog from interfering with lessons, families should be aware that you may occasionally see or hear a dog during your time at the studio.
Please stay home when you are sick. Because the studio is located in our home and my mother is undergoing cancer treatment, we take extra precautions to minimize the spread of illness and maintain a healthy environment. If you or your child is experiencing a fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other contagious illness, please stay home. We appreciate your help in protecting our students, families, and household.
Policies
Tuition and Payment
Tuition is due at the beginning of each month. Payment may be made by cash, check, or Zelle.
Monthly tuition reserves your student's place in the class or lesson schedule. Because enrollment is limited, tuition is not based on individual attendance.
Make-up Classes
Family Music & Homeschool Classes: One make-up opportunity will be offered for a missed class during each enrollment period. For Family Music classes, families may also arrange to attend a different regularly scheduled Family Music class as their make-up, when space is available.
Private Lessons: Make-up lessons for private students will be arranged individually with the teacher.
Make-up opportunities are intended for occasional absences and cannot be carried forward or exchanged for a refund.
Cancellations and Refunds
Because class and lesson spaces are reserved specifically for each student, monthly tuition is non-refundable once the month has begun.
If you need to discontinue lessons or classes, please provide notice by the 25th of the month so that your student's place can be released for the following month.
If the studio must cancel a class or lesson and a suitable make-up cannot be provided, the family will receive a prorated credit or refund for the missed class.
Communication
Please communicate as soon as possible regarding absences, illness, scheduling concerns, or other circumstances that may affect your student's participation. Good communication helps us make the studio experience positive and enjoyable for everyone.
